Antique Georgian Cased Pocket Travelling Compass
A charming late Georgian mahogany cased needle pocket compass with twin sight vanes.
A beautiful high quality example with twin folding brass sight vanes.
The paper compass rose is finely crafted and is presented in clean condition. The case is well constructed in beautiful mahogany with quality brass fastening clasps.
In working order and like many compasses from this period it is unsigned, but its quality suggests it was made by one of the major makers, probably Francis Barker.
