A rare 1960s McKesson “Anaesthesor” 900 series dental anaesthesia machine.

Elmer McKesson of Toledo, Ohio designed and perfected intermittent flow anaesthesia machines in the late 1940s in America. Eventually a UK factory was established and The “Anaesthesor” was produced in Eckington, Sheffield from 1954.

This particular model the “900” series is of a type introduced in 1961, with the head enclosed in a sloping cabinet. With a stylish design of the time. A well constructed piece which is a must for any medical / dental collector. A perfect prop piece.

Sourced from a museum, originally used at a dental training college.

All dials and controls appear to be in working order.

The cables which supply the Nitrous Oxide and Oxygen are present. They have been tucked up inside the underneath of the cabinet. With some age related wear and tear to the painted cabinet and feet.
