A rare late 19th century unusual Blacksmith forged double head eel fishing spear

A charming antique late 19th / early 20th century double head eel fishing spear.

A wonderful reminder of bygone times and country pursuits.

This lovely example was hand forged by a blacksmith and is very unusual in its design of two spear heads. Obviously intended to give the user more chance to catch the eel.

We have never had one of the same construction and it certainly is a rarer design.
